My love for radios started back in the 60's with a shortwave receiver that I bought from Lafayette Radio. I also had a CB station set up, but never knew how to get my ham license until 1977. I taught myself the code and therory, and within a year after that I was teaching a Novice class. It's been a great hobby, and I still have as much passion for it today as when I started.

My present shack was just recently updated.

The amp on the right is a Heathkit SB1000 that I built. In the middle is a Kenwood TS950SDX, that I bought new in 1993. To the far lower left is the Flex 6300. Using a Heil PR781 mic on the boom.

Fall 2014.  I look the same, but radio position has changed.
