Space Shuttle Discovery at the Air and Space Museum at Dulles International Airport, Washington DC - Oct 2015

My name is Jon and I am located just outside the town of Corsham Wiltshire in Southern England. I'm a keen 10 meter operator and can usually be found somewhere on the band. I mainly use an FT-991 with a Explorer Amp to a MoselyTA-33 Mini 3 element Yagi or a Sirio SY-3 3 element 10m Yagi. I have recently discovered Digital Radio and operate DMR, D-Star and C4FM Fusion and use a DV4 Mini/DV Mega Bluestack to get online. My digital gear is a Hytera MD785 for Base Staion Ops, Hytera MD 655 in the mobile and an Icom ID-5100 and ID-31e for D-STAR.

I run the MB6IUE D-STAR Gateway serving Corsham Wiltshire and usually have it connected to Ref 001C or Ref 030C.

Shack Operations in 2014

I have been licensed since February 1984, originally as G1DYG and progressed via the morse test in 1987 to gain my full licence G0IUE. My other favourite bands are 17 and 6 metres.

My wife Karen is also licensed and holds the Callsign M3KIR.

My son Matthew (now 16) passed the UK Foundation Licence exam at the ripe old age of 9 years old and was been issued the callsign M6XBX - he likes playing on his XBoX !! :)

Thanks for looking and see you on the air .............
