The latest small addition (Feb 2015):

The Baofeng GT-3TP handheld. For only £50 I wasn't expecting too much but after some extensive testing this little handheld performs admirably for local QSOs and repeater work.
Programming is a bit quirky and the supplied instructions are totally inadequate, but fortunately the Internet has all the info required.
This model supercedes to Mk2 offering an enhanced 8W output high power setting.

Kenwood TS-480HX
Power: 200W
This has to be the perfect rig for both base and mobile use. It has exceeded all expectations, no negatives.
Compact and portable offering 200W on HF (actual output CW using Bird Wattmeter 225W)

Kenwood TS-930S
Pwr: 150W
Now relagated to backup duties, this fine rig has provided many happy hours DX hunting.
A complete base rig in all respects with built in ATU and PSU. Very heavy and certainly not portable/mobile.

VHF Base Station:

Trio TS700G
Power: 10 watts
Purchased new in 1976 and apart from a few electrolytics in the power supply it has served me well, and continues to do so.
Currently in the process of crystalling it up on 146.950Mhz for FREEDV VHF experiments - how versatile is that!

VHF Mobile:

Rig: Trio FT-7900R 144Mhz/70cms
FT-7900
