Please do not use the FCC address displayed above for direct QSLs or any other correspondence. Do not send me a direct QSL without having asked for the correct address first, by a mail to AA7G.

I use my call throughout the US so you will most likely get another QTH from me than in Oregon. QTH used is on my QSL card and each QSO is provided with the correct QTH when uploaded to LoTW.

My name is of Norse and Scandinavian origin and therefore not pronounced and spelled like the similar German and Dutch names Gerd and Geert to which it has no relation.

I pronounce my name /ˈʒɜːrt/. It shall be pronounced with a J in the beginning, not a G. The j-sound is the same as in 'few'. Lower your tongue before pronouncing so that the d-sound, like in Germany, is not heard.

My main operating interests have been CW, QRP, digital modes and DX-hunting since I got licensed in 1980. I am also very interested in Digital ATV.

My QSL Policy:

Never send any mail to my FCC address in Bend, Oregon. My QSLing is managed from Sweden. Please email AA7G for the correct direct QSL address.

Every QSL card received is valued and appreciated and will be answered. QSLs are answered the same way as they arrived, provided 3 USD$ and SAE are included for direct cards. I do not accept other currencies than USD$. Do not send Euros or IRCs.

Try to avoid direct QSLing. A single letter to all other countries from Sweden is around 2.5 USD$ (21 SEK, July 2017). I prefer LoTW or the buro. All my buro cards are sent from GlobalQSL. This service is slow but all QSLs until September 7, 2017, have now been printed and sent out.

I only QSL new band/mode entities for DXCC and new states for WAS.  If you want my QSL send me your QSL via buro.

All buro cards for SM0LWC, SM5LWC, SM5LWC/7 and SM7LWC must be sent via AA7G.

I upload all my logs to LoTW regularly.

I do not use eQSL.

One letter will hold about 6-7 QSL cards.
