I'm a physician in the St. Louis area. I'm still new to amateur radio, and have been licensed since April of 2016.

I was previously a research chemist with a focus in organic chemistry and  nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy (NMR). NMR involves large RF transmitters and receivers, and was my introduction to many of the practical aspects of radio. In addition to amateur radio, I enjoy woodworking and flyfishing. I also collect and restore antique radios of all types.

My Station:

Transceivers:

Kenwood TS-570S(G)

Kenwood TM-281

Amplifier:

SB-200 with Harbach mods

Transmitters:

Johnson Viking II

Johnson 122 VFO

Antennas:

Homebrew Hex Beam at about 20 feet

2m J-pole antenna

Windom Off Center Dipole at 40 feet

Homebrew version of Butternut HF2V vertical which covers 80m/40m/20m

Some of my radio restorations:

(Left to Right: Zenith 9-S-367 Shutterdial, Philco 37-610, Phico 70, Philco 60, Zenith Transoceanic H500, and a view of my workbench)
