Health, love, peace and prosperity to humankind and ham radio universe!

The Talmud, Hillel - Do not do unto others what you do not want done to you.

Licenced January 1980 as i4oqa.

  • Licence class: A

Why Ham Radio?

At that time, I was 8 years old,... the US Army site Kagnew Station, Asmara / Ethiopia now Eritrea, USArmy Radio Station. Hundreds of Collins,... unthinkable antennas monitoring former CCCP and China from an altitude of more than 7000 ft above sea level. I was the station's kid...!

Kagnew Station operated 1949 / 1975.It was built by Italy as Radio Marina just before the WW2.Check the Web, Kagnew Station. Amazing history and images. Also Wikipedia. Kagnew Station on Youtube, Asmara on YouTube.

No Cats!

Albert Einstein, when asked to describe radio, replied:
"You see, wire telegraph is a kind of a very, very long cat. You pull his tail in New York and his head moves in Los Angeles. Do you understand this? And radio operates exactly the same way: you send signals here, they receive them there. The only difference is that there is no cat."

  • Being NOT fanatically active since licenced 1980.I'm a sniper, mostly DX  ( Main log: Log4OM ) ( In parallel just for secureness: Hrdlog.net)!

  • Retired from the business in January 2016. Ceo of Multinational Medical Corporation.Ohh my G_d, what am i going to do now...?

I will listen and listen and then listen again before calling.

  • I will only call if I can copy the DX station properly.

  • I will not trust the DX cluster and will be sure of the DX station's call sign before calling.

  • I will not interfere with the DX station nor anyone calling and will never tune up on the DX frequency or in the QSX slot.

  • I will wait for the DX station to end a contact before I call.

  • I will always send my full call sign.

  • I will call and then listen for a reasonable interval. I will not call continuously.

  • I will not transmit when the DX operator calls another call sign, not mine.

  • I will not transmit when the DX operator queries a call sign, not like mine.

  • I will not transmit when the DX station requests geographic areas other than mine.

  • When the DX operator calls me, I will not repeat my call sign unless I think he has copied it incorrectly.

  • I will be thankful if and when I do make a contact.

  • I will respect my fellow hams and conduct myself so as to earn their respect.

Beside Amateur Radio, I am a book collector and reader.

Music: love Classical music, smooth Jazz and Rock ( Mark Knopfler Classic Rock).

Music: play piano, synthesizer, Sax Contralto and trumpets.

Frequent traveller both business and pleasure.

Adore mountains.

Hate summer and adore all other seasons.

Adore Italian and Golan Heights wines. And my region's wines.

There comes a time in a man's life when to get where he has to go if there are no doors or windows, he walks into a wall.

Always listen to experts. They will tell you what CANNOT be done and WHY. Then DO IT!

The Holy Ark was built by Amateurs and the Titanic by Experts. Don't wait for experts!

The Wright Brothers flew right through the smoke screen of impossibility!

Dear Ham-Radio fellows, does your Radio have a Receiver? Turn it on !!

There are no rules of architecture for a castle in the clouds.

If you have enough fantasies, you are ready, in the event that something happens.

My friend's radio amateurs, from what we get, we can make a living; what we give, however, makes a life!

Flowers grow out of dark moments!

He who promises runs into debt.

When you teach your son, you teach your son's son.

If you have got money than you are wise, good-looking and can sing well and dance too.

Man can live about 40 days without food, about 3 days without water, about 8 minutes without air, but only for 1 second without hope.

Pay careful attention to what you desire because you may get it!

Retirement at 60 is ridiculous. When I was 55, I still had pimples!

Growing old is mandatory: growing up is optional.

Protest long enough that you are right, and you will be wrong.

A Yiddish proverb: " When a poor man eats a chicken, one or the other is sick"!

My grandfather: " Necessity can break iron"!

Yiddish proverb: " Love your neighbour, even if he plays the trombone"!

Aries have a courageous and competitive nature!

In time, even a bear can be taught to dance. I am referring to a specific ham radio operator!

Love us or hate us, either way, we are on your mind!

If you want to be a barber, practice on someone else's beard !! Thanks.
