I don't do contests, rag chews or nets. I chase DX and experiment with antennas.
The challenge for me is "how far can I toss a signal and get a response".
Work Digital modes PSK/JT65/FT8 and RTTY. Every now and then I will plug a microphone in and do a little SSB.

Bio:
Born and rasied in the East Falls neighborhood of Philadelphia PA and southeasten Pennsylviana. Moved to Tennessee in 1998 and love it here.
Interested in radio and electronics since I was 8 years old and built my first crystal radio set.
That little radio kit put me on a career path into Electrical Engineering and then Information Technology.

I was a Quality Technician, then a QA Engineer in electronics manufacturing for 15 or so years
mostly dealing with RF level instrumentation and automated test fixutres for printed circuit boards then moved to Tennessee
and also switched into the Information Technology field. From hardware and network admin to SQL and web development
with Java, PHP and Perl. I've pretty much done it all in my 20+ years working IT.

My other interests are Building high-end computers, Music, Astronomy and PC Gaming. I also play Bass guitar.
