Hello, and tnx for visiting!

My name is Walter (Walt), born in 1951 (mom denmark, dad austria) and i got my license in 1978.

After 46 years of work (about 30 years as a Teacher at a Higher Technical School  http://htl-kapfenberg.ac.at),

i`m now retired and have enough time for my hobbies... Radioamateur, Mountainbiking, our Motorhome and Sailing cheeky

my last Digital-Log on HF:

pse note my QSL policy - TNX

for HF-QSOs:

Digital_QSOs: automated upload direct after the QSO to ClubLog and eQSL (AG) via JTAlertX

All other QSOS: i upload the complete VHF and HF-Log every end of the month (normally  hi)  to LotW, QRZ and eQSL.

for 144mc:

when a new DXCC or a new Square for me, then i send my QSL direct with SASE and Dollar(s)!

all others i answer via Bureau (ADL-606),

if you need a paper-qsl for a VHF- or HF-QSO, then pse via bureau...
...or direct.
PSE with Self Adressed Envelope - if not SAE, then i will send my QSL return via the Bureau.
SWL-Cards are always welcome,

BUT: PSE supply the Callsign from my QSO-Partner AND the rpt u have hrd me(!)

...otherwise i  have to reject your SWL QSL - tnx 4 understanding!

part of my hometown                                           a part of my shack

old Antennasystem 4x10H (homemade)                                  my new Antennas

Primary i work on 144mc since 1979 - MeteorScatter, SporadicEasy, Aurora, FAI and EME.

Since beginning of may-2015 i`m agn QRV on 144mc with an NEW Antennasystem for 144mc.

Now i use 4* 8x8-JXX2 Crossyagis.

YESnext project = all the cables backwards on the boom wink

and understacking the H-Frame from 3m to 2.65m = reduce the Sidelobs

 144mc EME:

4* 8x8JXX2 on "+"

RX: IQ+ and MAP65, simultan Hor and Vert, BP-Filter, HA8ET preamps in H/V,

Feedline EcoFlex-10

sometimes i use parallel an FCD_Pro+ via an homemade WilkinsonSplitter and WSJT

TX: IC-7400, PA, Feedline TX EcoFlex-15 ( ... i had to change my old 7/8" cable ... snief).

i got it - my DXCC for 2m ... #1 in OE  :-)

it was ready on 2010-02-28 (tnx to hermann FY-DL2NUD),

but i was waiting 17 (!) months before i sendet it to the ARRL.

Info abt my Digital-QSOs (sometimes on SSB) on 6m to 160m:

i`m qrv on HF via JT65 and JT9, PSK31, SSTV or SSB.

Kenwood TS-680s (for Digital only and with abt 30W) and a SignaLink Interface

Elecraft K3s (for SSB/CW)

ICOM IC-706MKiiG (SSB/CW and also Digital) plus a microHAM USB Interface-III.

ICOM IC-7400  (SSB/CW and also Digital) plus a SignaLink Interface

Antenna: a modified BB7v with an homemade 4:1 Ruthroff UnUn

Software: JT65hf and JT9 = "WSJT-x"   /   SSTV = "MMSSTV"   /   PSK31 & Co = "FlDigi".

between 2015-march and 2016-march i used a 9,4m Whipantenna (stippole for fishing)

with one homemade "Ugly-Balun", and had around 1600 QSOs.

UglyBalun? --- look here: http://www.hamuniverse.com/balun.html

now (since 2017-mrz-16) i use a modified Diamond BB7v

...the efficiency from the original BB7v is nonsense :-(
