Greetings from Brazil. If we've just had a QSO, thanks for the contact and 73.
My Location: Tremembé, a small town in State of São Paulo, southeast of Brazil.
About me: I'm a retired Brazilian Army Officer. I was born in Rio de Janeiro and I had lived in several places in Brazil due to my job.
PY2RSA: I was introduced to Amateur Radio in the eighties. My brother (PY1LC) have teached me a lot about communications, analog RF, antennas and others aspects in relation to ham radio. I had gotten my first licence in February, 1986 (PU1JTV) and since then I got several call signs due to my transfers among the states of Brazil. I prefer operate in CW but JT65 is an option that I have appreciated a lot. Contest, pile-ups, rag-chewing.... I look for participate in all situations, at least, support them any way I can.
Equipment: My main HF rig is a YAESU FT 857D. I also own a KENWOOD TS 140S, an old rig but very robust. A modest "low-rise" antennas farm includes wire antennas at 30 feet in a "V" configuration (15, 20 and 40 meters). I also own a moxon antenna to 10 meters. The Moxon was built and designed by PY1LC and it's at 27 feet high. In the future I intend to change some antennas. Who knows to set up a moxon tri-band ? I also use a regulated DC power supply and antenna tuner built ("homebrew") by PY1LC.
What I Like to Do: I like swimming, travel around the world, photos (take a shot) and breed freshwater fish (mainly from the Amazon region). Finally, I'm trying to improve the language learning - Spanish, Italian and English.
QSL card: If you want a QSL feel free to email me, send me your address and I'll send you mine so we can make the exchange . I don't ask for money, so not needed.
Best regards, Ricardo.
