W5WZ is a charter member of the Louisiana Contest Club www.LouisianaContestClub.org

Licensed August 1997 as KD5CAS. Vanity call W5WZ issued Nov 1999. During that time, I have been mostly interested in DXing and contesting on the HF bands.

Or, to prove that we have to deal with both snow and hurricanes in Louisiana, here's a photo taken 12 Feb 2010:

So, if you have read this far down, you deserve the chance for something fun.  I grew up in West Monroe, Louisiana - home of the Robertson family of Duck Dynasty.  If you watch Duck Dynasty: Disappearing Acts (Season 11, Episode 13), you'll get to see me for about 4 minutes in the episode.  I'm the Kona Ice guy!
