1/30/17

Hello and Tnx for looking Me up on my QRZ Page. New Vanity Call starts today. Also as of 1/30/17 I have retired from 35+ yrs of  Auto & Light Truck repair business as Master Service Technician, 26 yrs with Chrysler and most recent independent shop.. Looking foward to more time  Fishing and Antenna projects  plus that never ending Honey Dew List....Hi Hi

Still using my TS 2000x and TS 480 radios with a Delta Loop 20-40m, Inverted L 80m, Inverted V 40 20 10m and the X7 tri bander.New Project in the works is a 40m Delta Loop Phased Array. Due to the Olympic Mountain Range in my backyard I have a issue making contacts in South America so that will keep me busy in the antenna department.  Happy DX!!

It has taken Me about 100 hrs labor and a few $$ to finish but now have a Tower up and Running. I went with the Universal Model # 9-50. The Antenna is the Cruscraft X7 with the Ham IV Rotor. Everything has worked out well, should be the last time I will need to update my antennas. Will move my homebrew inverted V for 40,80 & 160m up the tower later.

Today I finished installing a Double Bazooka@ 65', cut for 160m. At 256' I Have just enough room to string it up without any trees in the way.The Bazooka will replace a OCF that performed Ok .Now withtheInverted L and Alpha delta DX-CC,I have some flexibility. The rest of My Station consists of a Kenwood TS-2000x andTS480SAT, .Ameritron RCS-*8Vremote antenna stitch.,MFJ-927 remote tuner. The Inverted L and Bazooka are tied into my radial field consisting of 50 75'wires'

Just a few words about Me.Just finished a new Garage and have moved into my new digs. The XYL will not allow My Radio Gear in the house. So I have built a 10x20 room for all things Radio.Still need to get some UHF&VHF antennas up on the roof and plumb in a pellet stove out in the Main Garage before winter.

Have just finished my new wire antenna G5RV my new wire antenna was not making the trip .Installed a Carolina Windom 160 @ 70 ft. So far I think We have a Winner. My TS 2000x internal tuner seems to like things much better.Might add a external tuner later. Also have added a pair of Oscar Antennas, with a roof mount.Complete with home brew twin 1.2Ghz beams.HF is been going good for Me with PSK the main mode.Should have the Oscar Antennas up and running in the next few weeks.
