Above photo shows my station. It consists of an ICOM IC 7600, Tokyo Hy-Power HL-1.5kfx solid state amp, Palstar AT 1500 tuner, LDG M-7600 Meter, Bearcat BCD996xt scanner, SignaLink USB, Yaesu FT7900 dual band transceiver and a variety of PCs and monitors

First licensed in 1971 as WA4ELZ with Conditional Class License while serving with the Army in Germany. I operated with the reciprocal callsign of DA1RA from (71-73) and (76-79). Retired from the US Army in 1987 as a Chief Warrant Officer. Amateur radio awards include DXCC phone and mixed, WAS and Bi-Centennial WAS, WAC (phone), Satellite DX Achievement Award. Winner of 1973 World Wide DX contest for US Forces Germany. My interests range from ragchewing and casual operation to satellites, DXing on HF, aurora, meteor scatter and Es on 6 and 2 meters and operating digital modes such as PSK31 and JT65. You can also find me on D-STAR Reflector 1/C in the early morning hours. I use a DV Dongle for D-STAR along with an Audio Technica AT2035 condensor microphone, a Behringer SharkFBQ100 limiter/compressor/noise gate into a Behringer Xenyx 802 mixer/equalizer.

QSLs: I try to maintain LOTW and prefer it over QSL cards. QSL direct with SASE.

Above is a photo of my Cubex six element 6 meter quad.
