Thank you for visting my page. It was my pleasure to work you on the bands.

I was first licensed  as a Novice in March of 1977 as WD0AQC in Burlington, Iowa at ripe old age of 15. My first rig was a Heathkit DX60B, HG-10B VFO and a Hammerlund HQ-170 receiver.  Later I was able to upgrade my station to a Kenwood TS-520s and a 2 element Gem Quad up 30 feet.  Then I was hooked on DX.  I worked mostly on 15 meters.

I have been an Extra class since 1988.  I enjoy CW, SSB and RTTY. Mostly DXing and communtiy service are my main goals for ham radio.

My current station consists as follows: Icom IC-7851, IC-7800. Optibeam OB17-4 up 72 feet, Hygain DB1217 up 88 feet. JK 30-1 80 feet. 3 switched slopers for 80/75 meters. Also running Acom 2000A amp. Drake MN-2000 and Palstar HF-AUTO tuners. 2 Timewave Navigators for RTTY and digi modes. Array Solutions Six pak antennas switch. Green Heron rotor control and Prosistel PST 61D rotor. Zero Five 43 foot 10-160 vertical.

I curently work for Access Energy Cooperative (Rural Electric Coop) in Mount Pleasant, Iowa for the last 31 years.  I am the Jack of

all trades master at none for the engineering deptment.  My main job is working on System mapping /GIS and SCADA, staking power line.

I live in a small town of 103 people and 42 homes my neighbors call our place Aluminumville.

My other hobby is cruising around on my motorcycle.

See Ya on the bands or when I am traveling around the country.
