CURRENTLY OPERATING AS SP7AHG from Lodz District - Central Poland

Born in Naples, Italy on the 9th of June 1957. Chemical Engineering University Degree (MSc). Lived in different places including 4 years in Saudi Arabia. Married with two grown-up sons. Active in CW and SSB .
Antennas: home made Moxon for the 20m at about 12m on a Prosistel T40 tower,on the other bands I have installed an home made Carolina Windom (about 40 m in lenght) with an homebrew 4:1 balun, air wound, followed by a 1:1 choke. On VHF/UHF I use a 'thick' home made vertical dipole, for wide band performance as I have to use various VHF / UHF frequecies to cover all the amateur and civil defense frequencies.
Rigs and receivers:Elecraft K3, Elecraft K1, Yaesu FT-857, Yaesu FT-8800, Drake R4b, Yaesu FR-50B, AOR 8600, Yaesu VX-8GE (for APRS Operations too), Baofeng UV-5R, Tecsun PL 660.
Power Amplifier and Antenna Tuner: ACOM 1000, Magnum MT 3000 A
Power: the house is equipped with a 3 KW fotovoltaic power generator, moreover in the the shack I have an emergency power source fed by a separate and dedicated solar panel.
Instrumentation: Rhode&Schwarz 1 Ghz Signal Generator, Rigol DSA 815 Spectrum Analyzer 1.5 Ghz with Tracking Generator, Atten ADS 1042CM 40 Mhz Digital Oscilloscope, Atten F2700C Frequency Meter 2.7 Ghz, Aceco FC1002 Frequency Meter 3 Ghz, RigExpert AA-600 Antenna Analyzer, NT HT327 Multimeter, Atten AT-VC8045 Multimeter
Other interests and sundries: technical subjects reading, analog electronics and antennas homebrewing, scuba diving, skiing and cooking. From 2004 to 2010 I have been active from the southern part of Italy, town name: Cava de' Tirreni (near Salerno) and the call sign used there was IK2AHG/8.

By the way, from the 8th to 13th July 2009 included I have operated from the Maldives, Maayafushi isl, AS 013, as 8Q7DI. Operations were mainly in CW on 14 and 18 Mhz. QSL manager is i8ACB. See pictures below taken during the operations in Maayafushi.

... then the Yaesu FT 897 and the rest (power supply, homebrew 'T' antenna tuner, Begali key, mic). Just two bags in total.
